Employment Law Consultant’s Blog (02-09-18)

Hello,

I got off to a slower start this week than planned.

I remain in the process of getting my “revised” business up and running.

By the way, I’m open to any and all comments or suggestions regarding my web site/blog.

I’ll improve with time and your feedback.

Here we go,

✔ The Meaning of Words: In the workplace there remains some confusion about what some of the terms tossed around in the media in regard to the emerging “Me To” movement this article from The Conversation provides a working definition of the words “sexual abuse,” “sexual assault,” “sexual harassment” and “rape.

  https://theconversation.com/whats- the-difference-between-sexual-abuse-sexual-assault-sexual-harassment-and-rape-88218

Why sexual assault, abuse, harassment and rape are often not reported by the victims: After reading the following articles from Slate and NBC News you might not wonder why again.

No one seems to care.

✔ICE Arrests Up: The following report from the Pew Research Center tracks in significant increase in ICE arrests during the past year.

✔A Long Read ” Labor 2030: The Collision of Demographics, Automation, and Inequality from Bain & Company  Well worth the effort.
